Ohrid II Agreement OR New Flag of Former Republic of Macedonia

” I had a Dream –  As the Albanian language is co-official, the Albanian symbols need to be co – official with the Macedonian symbols in the national Flag!

Would Macedonia be so open and modern as to organize a popular referendum about a federative  Bi Nacional country as other civilized democratic country in the world have done before? “A national flag is a flag that symbolizes a country. The flag is flown by the government, but usually can also be flown by citizens of the country.

Both public and private buildings such as schools and courthouses may fly the national flag. In some countries, the national flags are only flown from non-military buildings on certain flag days.” This is the definition of a national flag in wikipedia.

Today in a Skopje Protest Macedonians and Albanians showed the wish to have both Macedonians and Albanians flags.

I have a Dream Macedonian flag

Would the Former Macedonia Republic political elite (Slavomacedoniens and Albanians) consider including all symbols of all the citizens of the country in the National Flag?

Would Macedonia be so open and modern as to organize a concourse for the New National Flag? Would Macedonia be so open and modern as to organize a popular referendum about a federative  Bi Nacional country as other civilized democratic country in the world? Switzerland has a cantonal structure and Belgium has a bi-national arrangement.

The other countries have done this before, why not Macedonia?

I had a Dream – how to make possible the Ohrid Agreement* Implementation. Just like the Albanian language, the Albanian symbols also need to be co – official with the Macedonian symbols in the national Flag, the Parliament would be built of two ” chambers”!

The Macedonians and Albanians shows being ready for this new steep Sunday in the Skopje Protest!

Note:

*The Ohrid Framework Agreement was the peace deal signed by the government of the Former Republic of Macedonia and ethnic Albanian  representatives on August 13, 2001. The agreement ended the armed conflict between the National Liberation Army and the Macedonian security forces and set the groundwork for improving the rights of ethnic Albanians.

The Agreement also included provisions for altering the official languages of the country, with any language spoken by over 20% of the population becoming co-official with the Macedonian language on the municipal level. Currently only Albanian with an approximate 25% of the population fulfils this criterion.[1] According to the document, the version in English language is the only authentic version of the Ohrid Framework Agreement.
