During this historic event the Pope gave the first address of his three-city tour of the United States, and one of the few he delivered in English.

It’s the biggest state arrival of this Presidency. Fifteen thousand people crowd the South Lawn. Tens of thousands more lined the streets.

This is Pope Francis’ first trip to the United States, and he’s starting it  in Washington, DC.
