Blessed Mother Teresa was declared a “Saint” on September 4th, 2016.


The Canonization Mass had take place on September 4th at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Square, followed by the Angelus at 12:00 (Noon). The Mass of Thanksgiving had take place on September 5th, and was led by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, in St. Peter’s Square at 10:00 AM.

In the afternoon, her relics was venerated, at the Basilica of St. John the Lateran from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM, and then again on September 6th from 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

This is “to hold a candle that lights the world”.
