The film, an adaptation of the novel with the same title of Denis Johnson won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, 2022.

Stars at Noon is a sensual and disorienting political drama set in Nicaragua, where a young American journalist (Margaret Qualley) becomes entangled in a volatile relationship with a mysterious English businessman (Joe Alwyn). As political tension rises around them, their connection unfolds somewhere between desire, danger, and illusion.
