Le dilemme des Burrnesha-s »Les Burrnesha sont des femmes qui se sont engagées à la chasteté afin de devenir des hommes. Sociale plutôt que mystique, leur transformation révèle un subtil stratagème par lequel le désir féminin est confisqué au nom de la liberté. Le paradoxe final est que, pour respirer librement parmi les hommes, elles ont dû devenir elles-mêmes des hommes.

The Burrnesha are women who pledged themselves to chastity in order to become men. Social rather than mystical, their transformation points to a subtle stratagem in which female desire is confiscated in the name of freedom.
