Mrs. Gashi is actually editor in chief and owner of the most qualitative, popular and appreciated women magazine in Kosovo, TEUTA.

Libri i saj "Dosja te krimit të luftës, Kosova 1998-1999 "botuar në vitin 2009 është një nga veprat më serioze me fakteve dhe hetime mbi mizoritë serbë në Kosovë.

Pas suprimimit të statusit utonom të Kosovës në vitin 1989, duke kualifikuese artikujt e saj shumë "armiqësore" dhe "shqetësuese për opinionin serb (!)” Mrs. Gashi was the first and the only woman journalist who has been arrested and in 1992 imprisoned to Mitrovica jail by the Serbian regime.

She is the first women journalist and publisher in Kosovo, who has for 49 years been actively engaged in Media.

In 1971 she founded the Magazine KOSOVARJA. During the Serbian destruction of Kosovo’s institutions, in 1994, Mrs. Gashi founded the very first independent women’s magazine in Kosovo, TEUTA.

She is author of other several books: ‘Gatojca’ (1982); ‘Gatojca’ (1989); “Walking through memories – Stories of the most eminent Albanian women with career’ (1st edition 2010 and 2nd edition 2012) and ‘Prishtina of my childhood’ (2013).

Sanije Gashi received several professional awards: Medal for work; Kosovo Journalist Award; Public Acknowledgment – twice nominated for the November Award (Prishtina Liberation Day); Acknowledgment Certificate for Contribution in Democracy Development (by Women Parliamentarians in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo).

During her professional career as editor in chief, Sanije Gashi has reached the highest selling circulation of Albanian magazine in Balkan.

Sanije Gashi lives and works in Prishtina, the capital of Kosovo.
